You are not alone in this feeling. I felt this way about design at about the same age as you, and made a pivot. I'm not sure if I was seeking balance, or just ran out of runway as an individual designer. I'm now in my 50's and I enjoy the conversation about how this career is evolving, even if I'm not grinding away to the wee hours of the night to refine my design work. I may be reciting a lot of "Back in my day..." but I'm also curious and find myself asking "What are your challenges today? What's changed? How are you adapting to it?" The future is fascinating, and I think we are all wondering, what's our place in it?
