I like your analogy to self-driving cars, and navigating the balance of autonomous driving and ease of taking control. Sitting in the driver’s seat, you have a clear view of where you’re going. The challenge with operators is to allow a human to observe all the interactions happening across possibly hundreds of tabs. Makes me wonder if designers might propose a hierarchy of task intervention (always trust to always ask). Fascinating!
